Fits all the standard specifications parents look for in a sandbox such as durability, size and cost. Size because most toddlers have friends that want to play too, durability because who wants to replace one shortly after buying and cost because we all know that sandboxes can be expensive. The lid is sturdy enough to stay down even on windy days and does keep the rain out. Does everything a person would want a sandbox to do, hold sand, keep pets, bugs and moisture out and entertain little ones for hours. It does all those things while blending into the backyard instead of looking out of place like so many of the other large plastic toys do.

One complaint reviewers have is that once filled with sand, the sandbox cannot be moved. Another complaint is that the design on the lid also collects rainwater, which if not dumped on a regular basis could become a breeding ground for mosquitoes. These complaints are not enough to distract consumers from recognizing the value of this Step2 sandbox though because the positive features far outweigh any negatives.

Babies love the mirror especially at 6 months of age so this toy is perfect for this age group. Instead of being annoying the flashing lights really captivate babies and draws their attention to the stage. The microphone is just a rattle and really does not function as a microphone. Can also be used by babies to learn how to kneel and look in the mirror, pull up and stand holding the toy. It helps that there are buttons (high/low) to change the music so that it isn’t as loud just in case the baby does not like the music.

One thing that reviewers found disappointing is that the keyboard is just one big key and not separate keys. The mirror is perhaps the biggest draw to this toy, which is sad, as it is suppose to be a musical toy. There are only five songs, which are not many when you consider it is, suppose to be a musical toy and for the price most reviewers feel that there could be more to the toy.

This toy is a favorite among young babies especially because of the mirror so if you are looking for a mirror toy this one is recommended. If you are looking for a musical toy and five songs are enough for your purpose than this toy will fit your needs. It is a very durable toy and can withstand the punishment that many kids playing with it can create. There are probably better musical toys out there but this toy is perfect for a young baby that wants to be entertained with lights, sounds, music and a chance to look at itself in the mirror. The toy is colorful, easy to assemble and easy to clean so these are also good features making the Fisher-Price Little Superstar Sing-Along Stage a good buy.

LeapFrog Learn and Groove Musical Table Review

This is a very sturdy table, can be easily cleaned and can take the abuse kids dish out and still keep on entertaining them. It specifically made for babies and toddlers but older kids like the music too. There are two options when using the table – words or music so little ones can be entertained in two ways. This musical table is perfect for those just learning how to pull up and stand. Unlike some other musical toys that can be tinny, this is easy to listen to and the variety means that you are not listening to the same song over and over.

As in most things there are a few comments made by reviewers of improvements that could be made to the LeapFrog Learn and Groove Musical Table; the first being that the legs could be made sturdier for when babies or toddlers are more on the hefty side and the table can pose a climbing hazard so parents just need to be aware of this when the child gets older. Apparently some of the tables are shipped with legs that don’t have tabs in so that once put on the legs are not able to be removed so parents need to be sure that when they put the legs on there won’t be a need to remove them.

The cube is beautifully designed and free of any sharp corners. The best part about this toy for adults is that there are no annoying sounds, flashing lights or batteries to replace. The best thing about this activity center for the kids is that it keeps them actively exploring all the moving parts for hours of fun. They especially enjoy moving the small beads along the rails, doors that open and close and animal parts to mix and match. This toy is great for developing small motor skills. It will keep little ones entertained for hours and will even keep the adults busy watching how much fun their little ones are having.

One downside to this cube is that it does tip over if a young child tries to pull up on it to stand. An adult does need to be close at hand supervising in case this happens so a child not yet standing on his or her own would not be able to play with this toy unsupervised. Some reviewers have mentioned incidents of hands becoming stuck in the section that has rotating blocks. Apparently no injuries were sustained and the hands are easily freed but supervised play is advised because of these incidences.

The B. Zany Zoo activity center is a highly recommended and wonderful toy for children and adults in love with watching kids at play. The cube is well constructed, has rounded corners for safety and is colorfully made to attract even the smallest child to it. There are lots of moving parts and doors that open and close to grab the child’s attention. The toy is good for learning how things move and to help with hand to eye coordination so it is a learning toy that provides hours of fun.
